Murray Overheu - Circa mid 1970's
Murray graduated from Alexander Mackie / Uni NSW. His painting Jonah's Door was purchased from the artist in 1976 when he was still in his final year and was renting a vast first floor level of an old shop front in Broadway as a studio and living area. In the late 1970's the work was borrowed for inclusion in a group exhibition of the most promising graduate artists at the Ivan Dougherty Gallery in Paddington.
