First became aware of Jodi Stewart's art, at the National Art School BFA graduate exhibition in 2015, a couple of the sold sculptures appealed, and I noted Jodi's details. In 2016 I curated the Shoalhaven City Art Centre ceramic exhibition "Out of Earth & Flame" and invited Jodi to include some of her sculptures, one of which was "Forgotten". I enquired about purchasing but discovered that the work had been low fired to bisque stage, suitable for exhibition but not robust enough for inclusion in the collection.  After the exhibition the work was then fired to porcelain and I re-inspected (and purchased) it in 2017 when Jodi returned to the Shoalhaven to install her solo show at the Arts Centre.
